ATLANTA -- Alex Wood set a career high with 12 strikeouts in 7 1-3 innings and the Atlanta Braves beat Washington 3-1 on Sunday night to continue their recent success against the Nationals. By winning two of three in the weekend series, Atlanta cut Washingtons lead to 3 1/2 games in the NL East.
